Many of you have not applied the CNC advantages to the G clamp
A plasma cutter or a water jet cutter is used to cut out the G frame.............WHY????
The CNC lathe will machine the pressure plate ............So what is the advantages of doing this. ??

Hand in date for Part B

Tuesday 22nd September is the hand in date for Part B of your coursework
I will then mark it and any student who has not completed it to a satisfactory standard will be spending time with me in after school catch up

Deadlines for work

please bear in mind we are  attempting to get all the folder work for all the units completed well before your exam preparation starts. That means get off the X box and finish your work!

Unit 14

Look at the video clip for holding material in a chuck
Look at the 3 and 4 jaw chucks and explain why we use the two types.

Milling

Look at a video on Milling  in You tube and then give safety examples from the video

P1 Unit 2

Look at and develop answers to the P1 section of the unit . Read the given information and this will provide all the answers you need in the questions. You do not need to find any outside sources.

Deadline for the Unit 17 work is three weeks before the end of term. Thhis gives me time to mark it and get it back to you for corrections and improvements.   IE 24th June .Anyone late or not finished will be comming back at lunch and afterschools to finish it off. YOu have been warned!
